Automatic screen selector for hammermills

Manually swapping screens in hammermills can cause significant production downtime and potential safety hazards. This issue is prevalent in feedmills and other bulk material processing facilities where minimizing downtime and ensuring operational safety are crucial.

Automate screen changes in hammermills

The self-standing automatic screen selector (SAGA) by Stolz is specifically designed to insert one of the sets of screens in standby mode through data exchange with the production automaton, eliminating the need for manual operation. This automation reduces production downtime and enhances production flexibility while ensuring screen traceability. The SAGA is compatible with Stolz RMP-type hammermills from models 110 to 116 and can fit into the limited space of existing manual grid exchange grinding installations. Electrically controlled motion allows for smooth transitions, increased safety, and power savings. With options for electrical box, safety signs, and screen sets, the SAGA improves working conditions by lowering accident risks and reducing noise exposure.
